W Class Fare-Flying VA booking through Delta

Hi,

Just been searching for MAN-SFO and LAX-MAN return next March/April. I have found a good price flying PE for our dates which is bookable through Delta but flying VA on the MAN-SFO and BOS-MAN legs (Delta operating the LAX-BOS first sector of the return leg).

The fare is showing as W Class which I understand is the highest fare which is upgradeable, changeable and refundable with VA. However, the Delta website is stating the fare is changeable but non-refundable.

Is it possible for someone to confirm if there is indeed a difference between the two carrier's interpretation of W class?

Many thanks.

An understandable confusion. Delta sells it's Comfort+ seats as 'W' fare as it only has only class of "Premium Economy" that it can sell, which is 'W'. Unfortunately Delta's W and Virgin's W won't match up in terms of flexibility, which is rather deceptive if you're privy to what Virgin's fare codes mean.
If you were to book it and review it on the Virgin site, it'll most likely show up as a K or H.

Thanks for confirming that - much appreciated. At least it saved me making an expensive mistake in booking when we are not 100% certain of our dates!!!!
