Hi, booked Upper today on G codes only the outbound at the moment. Does anyone know if the taxes the on G codes for a one way return are the same taxes as a return flight or are they slightly more or a lot more, hope this makes sense. Thanks

it depends on which part of the trip you have upgraded and from which original booking class - neither of which you have stated!

This is basic information we need to give you proper advice.

I booked G outward months ago to Grenada and have managed a T coming back from Barbados. as these are single tickets the fees were a little more expensive not much but at least £20 each ticket more compared to buying both together :-D

I think I paid more in tax and fees booking next years trip as two single rewards than I would have a return.
However, I did read a thread where someone paid less by going down the two singles route.
I chose the two singles because I will be away a month and wanted to bag the outbound flight as soon as it was released so it was a premium worth paying.

I have found that -by looking at the Web-site (which may be wrong).

Return taxes (LHR-SEA)
If booked as a return Inbound flight (SEA-LHR) tax is £126 (PE) £166 (UC)

If booked as two singles the Outbound flight tax is the same >-( BUT the inbound tax is $286 = £222 (PE) $479 = £372

However the PRO to this is that -I could book this inbound flight in the class I want if I had done my trip as two ONE ways.
However as I have booked a return this inbound class is not available to book (via Call cetnre).

Shocking.
