Hi,

Does anyone know ig you can use the priority security lane in Belfast International Airport if flying Upper Class?

I know you can pay £4 for this, but wondered if I get it for free.

Unsure - but at some airports (MAN take note!) there is Priority Security & Fast-Track - they are not the same.

VS give you priority security at MAN if FC Gold / Upper Class, but all this does is bundle you into the same screening line as special needs passengers / disabled passengers & families. Due to these people taking longer to be screened, unless it's really busy the normal security queue is invariably faster.

MAN offer Fast-Track security for a fee, which you do not get if FC Gold / Upper Class. This is quick - have been through T1 security when on Emirates in under 5mins when the normal queue was snaking out of the terminal door into the drop-off area.

T1 security is a nightmare at the best of times, but the last time I used T1 and used Fast Track it was anything but due to the scanner being oversensitive and the supervisor taking forever to come down, examine the bag and reset the machine. I’ll see next week whether it lives up to its name again.

BFS was, until very recently, one of my very frequent arrival and departure airports.

Arrivals; generally good, although your luggage may stick on the belt behind the screens. There's always three 'not in uniform' Police Officers to greet the incomers.

Departures; typically a nightmare. Security are completely unable to work out what to do with anything remotely unusual e.g. Diplomatic cases, non-typical electronic devices.

Parking was always a nightmare; text to the driver 'meet me at point Y in 10 minutes'.

Good luck on any attempt at a 'fast track'.
