Couple of redemption queries
Posted: 02 Jun 2018, 10:38Morning all, it's been a few years since I redeemed VS miles - would be grateful for the following advice:-
(1) Is it still the case that the Ec --> PE Amex upgrade voucher can be used to upgrade two people on a sector (as opposed to one person for a return)?
(2) Is it still the case that we can pool our miles, eg. we each use miles from our respective accounts to fund the overall purchase? I think the rule was that a person cannot part pay for a sector, ie. a whole sector must be funded from one person's miles?
In my case I'm hoping for each of us to use 25K miles for an Economy west coast redemption outbound, using the voucher to upgrade each of us to PE for that sector. Then for each of us to use 37.5K miles for PE on the return.
