I've flown the DL Suite from Detroit to Seoul, and I'd be extremely disappointed if VS took this suite. Byers mentions it will be revolutionary... I'd like to believe this is not corporate hyperbole and that VS have developed something game changing much like they did with the Herringbone suite all those years ago. DL advertised its suite as revolutionary when Jet Blue were flying a similar product years previously with its Mint product.
When this JV was conceived, it was made crystal clear that VS and DL would remain completely different products, and that VS wouldn't turn into DL. Byers said the cabin would feel warm.. with closed suites, the DL One Suite cabin did not feel warm at all.
I'm remaining optimistic we'll get a brand new product and not some VS version of something that already exists.
