Mixed Airline Flight (VS+MU) - Full services access?

Hi everyone, long time no post.

I am due to be on a business trip to London from Tokyo in May. The trip cost for direct flights using JAL were super expensive (almost 10000GBP for a Premium Economy ticket!), but doing a bit of sleuthing, I found a one stop route at a cheaper deal in business class for all sectors, which goes:

HND>PVG wth Shanghai Air (basically China Eastern)
...and then PVG > LHR using VS!

This would all be on a single ticket. The return is the same two airlines, in reverse obviously.

My question is that on the booking form, both VS parts of the journey are shown as fare code "I". Given that the initial and final flights are with MU, but the originating flight in London is with VS, will I be able to get Clubhouse access/DTCI for the LHR>PVG sector?

Also, would access to the shared lounge in PVG be allowed for connecting passengers in the layover before the PVG>LHR sector?

I did try a search here, but couldn't find anything. Apologies if this has been asked before.

Thanks in advance,

R

Yes, as long as you’re flying VS Upper Class you’re entitled to lounge access at PVG (outbound) and DTCI/Clubhouse access at LHR (return).

FYI, direct flights with BA in PE are £1,800, CW for £3,700 or F for £9,600 for 99% of the month of May.
