Has anyone used this and if so do you need to call ahead with car details. Also is it only open certain hours

Access to the ramp that brings you alongside to the Virgin, Emirates and Qatar Check In is strictly controlled. Only authorised drivers are allowed to use it.

On Saturday, although we were picked up as part of a mileage use, the driver was not authorised so we were dropped off opposite the Premier Inn.

It would appear only Tristan Drivers are authorised and if the ride is sub contracted to Addison Lee (who own Tristan) then you cannot access the ramp

Thanks for the reply. I will do battle with the elevator to get up to check in. Was hoping for an easy as possible arrival having landed back at LHR the day before from a work trip to LAS
