I booked a upper class reward flight on January 2022 for LHR-LAS 12th November did my seat selection at the time 4A outbound all was good yesterday. I go to get ready for check this afternoon in and I have been bumped to 7G, I know seats are not guaranteed but any idea why?

Could be all sorts of reasons. Impossible to say.

Normally, on the odd occasions that this has happened to me - I keep an eye on who is in the seat. If I find out it's a friend of the crew or some other bs reason that I was moved - I email and complain. If they've moved me so a family can be kept together, or they need a bassinet seat, or some other legitimate reason - fine. If it's not a good reason then I usually raise it as an issue.

Thank you for your reply, I did think when I am on the flight tomorrow I would check out who is sitting in 4A! I agree no problem for a family to sit together or legit reason.

You'll be glad they moved you if you find out seat 4A is defective! ;-)

I'd personally move to 10K.

Whilst there's no window on any G seat, there's also no window on 7A or 7K, so you can't even look to your right out of the window.

The bar is rarely in heavy use. Although it's the LAS flight so who knows!

One of the benefits of those seats at the back of the cabin though... a super speedy exit.

If you do not have Global Entry (I'd highly recommend this to anyone by the way), being at the back of the cabin means you'll be off first as you'll be disembarking through Door 2L. At an airport like LAS, that could make a big difference.

If it is taken then its likely by someone on their staff travel concession rather than a paying passenger. People on staff travel are expected to take such seats.
