Anyone know the PE meals between LAX and LHR? Do they still text you the option to make a choice before the flight?

It will only be if you book direct with VS and even then sometimes you get an email and sometimes don't anything unto 7 days before departure.

You can also try entering your details using https://preselect.virginatlantic.com upto 24 hours before departure.
