I have read conflicting reports some say yes some say no
On flight out my ticket is cabin class I return is cabin class d
Am I able to book free car transfer with Virgin on either ticket class

Unfortunately not. The Chauffeur driven car service has been dropped for all classes of Upper Class ticket for a while now.

You can use the Upper Class wing with your own taxi/Uber/Chauffeur though.

Transfers are no longer included with any Upper Class fare now unfortunately. VS stopped complimentary transfers even on fully flexible Upper Class fares a couple of years ago now.

(Just looked it up and the complimentary service ended July 1st, 2020)
