Greetings from the Clubhouse - awaiting the VS155 this evening and I noticed a shiny new gold sticker on my boarding pass.

The CH staff also noticed this when I arrived and said they quite enjoyed the novelty. It’s like getting a gold star from the teacher at school

That is a positive - although one wonders what has prompted it.

I’m guessing this is to help police priority boarding. It was very hard to tell who was Au and thus entitled to board with Upper, even if they’re travelling in W or Y. When travelling in those cabins I’ve been stopped trying to board with Upper as the words “VS Gold” are printed in very small letters and they’re hard to see.

Printed on or an actual sticker manually applied by the check-in agent?

I'm sure I've seen gold stickers in various fine high street stationery emporia!

I know why they changed the system, but somehow the old "009" system seemed to work far better in my opinion. All staff knew who was gold! Never confusion....

Given the out-sourced Swissport staff VS use at Manchester (& Orlando too) I would put this sticker system as being beyond them. The ground based team at Manchester is always without fail rubbish.

Well, I have to say the sticker did make a difference, both in the Clubhouse and on board

That said, the Check In Agent was surprised when we said we knew about the stickers

No stickers for us at either LHR or LAX and new Checkin progress at LAX for VS is a complete mess (and that is saying something for the zoo that LAX is at the best of times) - pre-TSA closed, Sky priority closed and a heck of a long walk after nearly an hour from checkin from Terminal 2 to TSB to where the lounge is

Roll on Delta/VS sorting out their LAX experience for their high value PAX
