VS 787 Wingtip strike at LHR

A Virgin Atlantic 787 has struck a BA A350 whilst under tow at Heathrow.

Damage looks relatively minor but both aircraft will be out of service for the foreseeable.

Looks like it’s G-VDIA and G-XWBC

An expensive insurance claim incoming for the handling agent…

Some of the headlines in the media are unbelievable. I’ve seem a bigger accident in Tescos carpark. :-D :-D

It’s always comical reading the sensationalist media reports any time a minor aviation mishap happens. “Major Panic after aircraft collide on runway” was one that I saw this afternoon! :-D
