Must be an online booking and must be billed to that specific Amex (not available on points purchase)

Is this a specific offer for VS?

Nothing here but yesterday 2 separate offers showed up when booking KLM and Air France with that same spend criteria.

There was also a SQ offer as well but the spend criteria was £2500 for that one. Lots of hotel chain offers as well including Hilton, IHG, Marriott, MO.

we done a booking on my amex for over £1500 last week and there is no sign of the offer yet ,was booked on the Virgin app hope i havent messed up using that?

Just as long as you added the offer before making the purchase and spent over the required amount within the specified offer time frame, the offer should work.

Some AmEx offer credits land on your account almost instantly, others can take several weeks. Keep checking your AmEx account /app for a credit.

Also sometimes AmEx email you to say you have used the offer, other times they don't.

There's no consistency to AmEx offers unfortunately!

I booked EDI-CDG-ORD out and JFK-EDI back all on VA website and used my Amex Plat card. I got a message a couple of days later from Amex noting that I had used the offer and then a couple of days after that the £250 Amex credit showed up.
The flights are business on AF out and Delta One back and having debated options on which route and carrier etc to take when I eventually booked the price had dropped by around £250 so a double bonus.
Also picked up a Delta First flight from ORD to JFK for only $5.60 taxes plus 25k points for a nice two centre holiday. Transfer of Amex points to Delta took under an hour and then booked online very easily.

A word of warning
I did not get the £250 due to the fact I booked the flights as one ways
One charge in GBP
Another in AED

I will be cancelling in disgust

Has anyone had success with triggering the offer when paying for a points booking via the website?

I see that 'mail and telephone' orders are excluded which might be their way of excluding reward bookings.
