Delta flights from Dublin with Virgin Points

Hi All,
A few months ago on here, I posted saying that I was going to cancel my Virgin Credit Card. Living in NI, it meant a transfer to the mainland which usually required an overnight stay, and was making a lot of the savings/perks pointless.

I had a thought - Delta fly from Dublin to a few locations in the US. How easy is it for me to use my Virgin points (I have over 300,000 now) to book and fly from Dublin. Presumably I'd save quite. bit on tax too.

Is there an easy way of doing this other than phoning someone?

I often use my VS points for DL/AF/KL flights quite and it’s quite easy to do through the app. Search for each sector as a one way where possible as it seems to work better than searching for a return unless both dates are available. Once you get the desired trip you can of course then build the return trip as you would normally so you don’t end up with any card charges for rate exchanges etc.

All quite straight forward and never had any issues touch wood. It’s also good to do on your laptop as it seems to show availability on surrounding dates to help you find the reward seats.

As you are looking to be using Virgin points to make the booking, you will only be able to use the VS website or app.
