Security Scanner Protocol

Afternoon,
Been a while since passing through the Wing and I’m aware they have the new style scanners.
Are they asking for laptops and liquids out, or all good to keep in the case? And belts on or off?
Thanks

If it's anything like Manchester, it will be all metal items off (so belt coins, wallet, mobile & watch), but then leave everything in your bag. I went through the Fast-Lane and was not asked about liquids (I had none) - friend went through the normal lane and had to remove his liquids bag (was a new scanning machine too).
I am guessing that the rules may change slightly on a daily basis - like they do with the TSA in the States. It stops both the screeners and passengers from getting complacent.

As with all full body scanners, you need to empty your pockets. I always remove my belt and watch before entering any airport security these days.
I too went through MAN fast-track the other week and everything was left in bags and shoes left on. it was the same at LHR a few months ago, however, I got an extra 'random' shoe/foot scan at LHR - your place each foot into a separate small scanning device.
Whilst liquids can be left in your bag now, they still need to be <100 ml each.

Thanks both.
I have two cases; one is a lot easier to get stuff in and out, but I prefer the other... I'll go with the other.
