Very impressed with LGW service.

So there I was, in a car on the way to Park Royal (don't ask), when upto last week I should have been on board an UCS flight to Barbados. I'm cursing away, and then the phone rings.

It's Virgin. It's Tracy for Virgin Clubhouse Gatwick calling to ask me if I am in the airport, do I need help through customs as my flight departs in 20 minutes and they are holding my seat.

Clearly Expedia had forgotten to lift the booking (and as the flights were not refundable I think I was too emotionally torn to cancel direct).

So I told Tracy that I wasn't travelling - and she was very nice about it.

Point being, how nice to be rung from the airport to see if you're on the way/ok. Understand it's in VS's interest to do it - but it was done in such a pleasant way.

I'm waffling.

Not a waffle.

I think that is a really nice touch for the Clubhouse. Would have almost tempted me to see if they could have got me all the way from Park Royal to LGW in 20 mins :D
