Actually we do have Cabin Crew who are based in Delhi. They are very efficient at sorting out problems and there is certainly no problem in understanding each other. :D

I do not post a lot, but Pix, Richard M etc know who I am. The post by '747340' has prompted me to post due to it's nasty nature.

I fly the Delhi route a lot and can say that the Airport staff in Delhi are first rate and fantastic. As for the crew from Delhi, they are also great and try very very hard to make sure all passengers are looked after very well.

I cannot believe that it would be suggested that they are anything but this and suggest an apology from '747340' would be in order. Yes I am being a bit 'up front' about this item but am at a loss as to how such a comment / suggestion re Crew from Delhi could be made.

lloydfrancis - In fairness, I don't think 747340 was actually talking about the cabin crew on the route, rather the VH call centre and its apparent outsourcing to India following the general trend in most companies these days (and that's not an endorsement of the "Next it will be Cabin Crew" comment).

747340 - a search of all the forums for the words "india call centre" would return this open thread and this locked thread as the 3rd & 4th results. These threads were discussions on this very topic from September.

With this in mind, to avoid duplication, I'm locking this thread down - please put your comments re the VH call centre in India in this thread, thanks.

call meaning telephones is very difficult to get through to and they have problems understanding you whn you call.

Call centres are not easy to opertae and even more difficult when they are so far away from your head office.

It is surprising that only 1 person read the topic correct and understood it and did the right thing and closed the topic down as no one else read the topic correct.

Thank you for closing it down and thank you for your help.

Call customers services at Virgin Atlantic and tell thenm you are unhappy with the Virgin call Centre in DELHI and they tell you they have experienced problems but are dealing with it.
