Photos and questions about UC

Has V-Flyer rid the photos section completely? I can't seem to find any.
Also, I've never flown in UC but will next year. Are the massages, manicures and other wonderful perks free and only a tip is expected? And if so, how much tip? Or does it cost to do any of the perks?
Thanks for any feedback!

Nope - they should still be there (but you had me worried for a second!). Click on the 'Photo Gallery' link at the top of this page.
I've always wondered about the tip myself. Not sure if I'm supposed to or not (being a Brit, it's a bit difficult to know what to do). I have tipped in the V.Touch Salon's in the Clubhouse, but never on a plane. Feels a bit odd.
But answering the first part of your question, yes - they are all free with the Upper Class service.

Hi Jennyloug
When I got a facial in Revivals earlier on this year, I asked about tipping and the BT was quite insistent that it wasn't required. That said, I felt so refreshed afterwards that I left her a tenner

Cheers

If you are going to be that generous I'll come round with a bucket of water if you need refreshing;);)
on a serious note, has anyone ever tipped the shoeshine man[?]

Regretfully I'm always wearing trainers. I tend to tip like Mcuth though in the salon on the standard grounds that just because the owner comped you the meal doesn't mean you don't tip the wait people

Its not just the quality of the shoeshine, its the fantastic service and manner at which he engages (and makes the connection) with customers - he is very well regarded within VS and a favourite of SRB. And his other half who works in the LGW Clubhouse is equally charming and friendly. One of my 'Heroes' nominations again this year.
Thanks,
Richard

Agree with all comments re Jack, he is a true gent.
Virgin staff are not meant to accept tips (not a problem for me as the cabin crew are very very rarely tipped) but I believe they are gratefully received so if you want to then please do. However it may be a good idea not to name anyone you have tipped on this site, just to protect anyone from getting into trouble.
The IFBT certainly don't expect any tips, I think they are just happy if the customer is clean and offensive odour free!
