I noticed a similar post recently (and cannot find it to reply too hence the new post), as a former scaredy cat when it came to flying, I would like to recommend a very simple and effective treatment called Thought Field Therapy (TFT) you can read more about it on http://www.tftrx.com there are a number of practitioners in the UK and Ireland, I have a particularly excellent practitioner in my clinic, and he'd be delighted to chat with anyone who has any concerns over flying (he is also a private pilot!).

I can't begin to tell you how my life has changed now I am no longer afraid of getting on to an aircraft.....oh and travelling up the front helps too!

Jonathan,

Thanks for supplying the links for the posts I was looking for, my broadband is dead at the moment, so can't spend as much time online as I would like.

I don't believe that the TFT option has been covered, in my clinic I have seen some remarkable, rapid and painless recoveries from various phobias, including flying. I thought it important to share it with the group, I hope nobody thinks I am plugging or advertising, just couldn't bare to think anybody is missing one of the most exciting experiences a human will ever experience, stepping onto a plane and taking off above the clouds ;)

My colleague at the practice said he would be happy to take any V-Flyers through the treatment free of charge (he's just discovered the site himself!).

Jon,

I am the Administrator for Taking Flight http://www.takingflight.us

There is also a UK address http://www.fearflying.co.uk/

Thanks Jonathan for placing them in your post.

Jon, You are right, as a former FOFer myself, I would hate to think that anyone has bound themselves to the ground, and denied themselves the chance to see this world!
