Baggage Allowance

I am flying Virgin next Summer from MAN to MCO and have just bought some new luggage.

I notice from the Virgin site that no piece of luggage must exceed 158cm when all 3 dimensions are added together.

I have just measured my new luggage which I though was within, and the largest case measures about 170cm.

How stringent are they with case sizes? Are they really going to m easure each case to check or will I get away with a few cm over?

Thanks

They always seem to bother more about the weight, I have never seen a tape measure come out:D.

I think if it's very obviously over sized you might have a problem, but I don't imagine that anyone will notice 12cm over three dimensions.

Thanks - that's what I was hoping.
