Anybody know if there are restrictions on 63 and 64 A&C seats as these are near the rear exit. Specifically, any problems with kids in these seats?

Thanks

Hi,

I do not think there are any restrictions on those seats.

Regarding seat 64A, check that it is not wet before you sit in it. It can be prone to moisture condensing out of the air conditioning duct right above the seat.

Hmm, what happens if it is wet? Do they replace the cushion or do they just cover it with a towel? And does this mean I will get dripped on as well??

Maybe not such a good choice of seats after all. They looked perfect. My kids are in 63 A&C and my wife and I are in 64 A&C. That meant we did not have to worry about putting our seats back and annoying anybody else and nobody would be kicking the back to the seats. What is the general opinion on 63/64 A&C??

Thanks

I have these same seats booked for LAX and have used them before. They are good for a group of 4 providing a better degree of privacy. I am not sure that row 64 has the same reclining ability as other rows, but legroom is good and widthroom (!) is great.

If 64A is wet, they will give you a towel to dry it with and something like a blanket to sit on. You should not get dripped on during flight, as I understand that the condensation problem occurs only when the plane is on the ground.

An upside to these seats is that you can get up and stretch your legs, standing immediately behind row 64. The downside to this area is that during a red-eye you might get someone doing the same and then engaging in conversation there, which can be really annoying if you want to sleep. Usually, these people natter for half the night, then go to their own seats for the last hour before landing and try to get some sleep themselves - just when everyone else is waking. A polite request for quiet is what is needed in this event.

Overall, though, these are good seats. My advice is to stay with them.

...and don't forget the aerobic brigade who use that space for their muscle stretching exercises thinking your seat back makes an excellent support... [}:)] ...if you have experienced it, you will know what I mean [V]

I've booked Seat 64A on VS023 to LAX on this Sunday (5/12). Glad to hear that all is not lost if the seat is a bit wet as I had heard that it was a good seat!

Thanks,

Tim
