Travelling on VS027 in PE (26/03 [8D]) and have prebooked seats 76A, 76C and 77 A. Gone for one behind as opposed to across the aisle as on last flight (not VA) husband spent 10 hours with PAX in seat in front on full recline [:(!]- also seats appear to be offset across the aisle anyway[?]

As we are doing twilight check in we probably stand a reasonable chance of asking for 77A to be swapped for 75A on check in. Will this be worth it? I've read that people wanting to stretch their legs often take advantage of spaces like these in cabins. Also, what's the set up for IFE in these seats as there's no seat in front.

Grateful for any replies

Pat

Can't comment on the seats, other that to say check in as early as possible.

One thing that VS seem very hot on is making sure pax keep their seats in the upright position for take off, landing and when meals are served, though the latter is only a request to aid pax comfort during meals. Also PE still has more room than economy, even when person in front reclines.

There is a monitor on a moveable arm stowed down behind your left leg. You can simply swing it up and twist it about to get the desired position. These have to be kept in the lowered position for take off and landing.

You could try asking to be switched to row 11 or 12 that can be either PE or UC on LGW flights. Much more room as these are UC seats. I have been successful in getting switched from upstairs to these seats when travelling to MCO. There would be no harm in asking on your twilight check in.
