Bank clerk Abimbola Eduwa gave birth yesterday 21/03/04 en route from Lagos to London on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Lagos. A doctor and a nurse on the plane helped deliver the baby.... named Virginia!!
Free tickets for life now for the baby!!

I didn't realise until i heard the news that this is the first ever birth on a VS flight! SRB commented "we've been waiting 20 years for this". Apparently the free flights are only until she is 21.

Fascinating that "everyone is thrilled". I'd be livid with the woman given they had to divert the plane and turn back...

I just hope the poor woman had an exit row seat..or at very least a bulkhead!
Wouldn't be too keen on giving birth in a window seat!
