To cope with future expansion plans, the last non UCS A340-300 is scheduled to leave the fleet by December 2006. Great news for J2000 and Arcadia lovers ;)

Thought the end of October 05 estimate suggested here was a little optimistic.

Excellent news.

By the way.......

I should have mentioned in my original post that there are still plans for 2-3 of these aircraft to go to Virgin Nigeria and the 4th could be based at LGW to operate the Port Harcourt flights.

Do any other airlines operate the LHR-PHC route - if there aren't then I don't think that having J2000 and arcadia are the worst thing in the world, especially when the alternatives are AF (lets not even go there!;)) and LH (only empty holes where the IFE used to be![:(])

Cheers,

G-VELD is going to be the first A340-300 to be fitted out with UCS. It trundles off to TLS middle of this month.

Do we have a seat layout for the new configuration yet?

Is the plan still to increase the PE section at the expense of Y?

I have started a new thread with details onthe 343 new config, having seen this thread please feel free to incorporate mine into this!

To answer buffys question the a/c will have one extra row of W making it W35 and Y171 (from 187)
