Hi,
Sorry, did a search but couldn't find anything about Wifi in the lounges. My question is, is there ? I think I remember Hong Kong having Wifi in the lounge, but does LHR ?

I know that both LHR and SFO have T-mobile wifi access. You can also use a BTopenworld account, through roaming, in these locations.
You do have to have an account (and pay for it) though - so not complimentary.
(Remember, there are also Internet-enabled PC's available in the clubhouses for use if you don't have an account with either BT or T-Mobile)

Has anyone got an update on the Wifi access for LHR now the new clubhouse is finished. Surely it's about time they provided free Wifi access.

I think it has been said before that it is a BAA issue, rather than a VS one. Presumably BAA are contracted to T-Mobile, so that is what is available in the CH.
Unless, of course, it has changed now that the CH extension is done.

It cannot be just a BAA issue because the London Lounge (AC/SK) has TeliaSonera Homerun available. I think lounges can contract whoever they want.

LHR also has BT Openzone hotspots, doesn't it?

When we flew out with VA from LAX at the end of March we used the Air Canada lounge. Air Canada provide free WiFi access. Personally, I think any lounge that doesn't provide FOC WiFi needs a kick in the 'ss.
So here's an idea... how about VF create a moderated page that we can all keep upto date with the latest info on WiFi in VA lounges. Unless anyone know of one already?
Cheers,
Mutley.

WiFi access on the US side of the Atlantic is streets ahead of the UK.
Free (or very cheap) wi-fi is standard in airports / lounges / hotels / shopping malls and coffe bars all over the US.
Here we pay a lot of money to log on in most places, including the same hotel chains that offer free access in the US.
I suppose this will change in time, but it is still very frustrating. [:(!][n]
