Questions about the LHR Clubhouse

What time can you enter the clubhouse before your flight? I was told 3 hours before takeoff?

What is the food and drink quota...can you have a full dinner without having to pay a dime, for example?

What are the shower facilities like, how many cubicles?

Many thanks in advance[:o)]

I do not know about the food but there is no limit on drinks. :)

They do not ask your name so it does not matter. But they would be happy to talk with you if you want.

We've arrived more than three hours before take-off on occasion as our connecting flight sometimes can arrive more than five hours ahead of that time depending on our destination. We have never been refused entry but I have found that after about three hours it gets a bit boring.

Food and drink is free. Can't answer about the showers, sorry

There is no limit on time of entry, other than the time that the clubhouse actually opens - 7:00 from memory (ISTBC).

Showers, there are 4/5 for each M or F, I think. Each is contained within the restroom unit - there is only one restroom with only a toilet, no shower.

Confirm on all that Preiffer says. The showers are a bit worn in the existing clubhouse. But the good news is that the new clubhouse will open in August. This looks like it will be a significant improvement on the, already excellent, existing facilities. No doubt it will change the number of showers and such like.

It is also worth mentioning that you can get various beauty treatments, a haircut, shave, or massage before you leave. You can have a full meal and if, like me, you are a real guzzler, you can follow it up with various snacks and nibbles.

Also in the new clubhouse you will be able to pre-book your treatments in the Spa to make sure you have one. Details on treatments and pre-booking available here.

I was shocked at the state that the showers were in, two that I saw had "out of order" signs. The one that was working? was very filthy now you may think that IÕm being fussy but honestly you would come out dirtier than you went in, God knows what Kim and Aggey would make of it.
