Does anybody know how often VS release new models of the Gemini Jets range, and what range is currently available.

Well,
here's the Gemini product page, although it doesn't give an indication of frequency of new releases.
In terms of "current" VS planes, the recent
Duty Free Catalogue online can tell you this (currently Queen of the Skies & Barbarella ).

Supposedly GJ is working on a special Birthday Girl model that will be released soon. But it's not known whether it will be an inflight, a website (like the 2012 one), or a general release. If you can't wait, you can always get your hands on the BigBird 400 Birthday Girl model which was released several days ago. I'm waiting though since the BB400 one is white instead of silver (and yes, the actual plane looks kind of white but I think the livery looks better on silver).

Nowhere! So far a VS 1:400 a380 hasn't been made yet.

I'm part of many 1:400 collectors websites where we get the latest information regarding "arrivals" from all of the model manufacturers, so I will know when/if one is released.
