That Virgin Service

I've just got off the phone to UC reservations to book our seats for my forthcoming trip next month (pleased to say were getting UCS (we missed out last year flying to HKG)and to add our FC memb. no's.
Having booked through VH we don't get our flight reference number till we get the tickets which going by previous threads could be within days of travelling.
Anyway my point is I spoke to Caroline and how polite and genreally nice she was none of this yes sir no sir business she used my name (not in the way other companies do trying to be pally)and suggested seat's for us, but I'd used the tool and picked which ones we wanted and duly got them.
That kind of service is why I try and fly VA whenever I can, not overstated but very subtle.[8)]
So now I'm really excited about my flight:D (and holiday of course).
Fingers crossed we get the seats we booked as it didn't happen last time !

I'm pretty sure you can use the VH booking reference to manage your flight on-line. We have done this for forthcoming trip to ANU.

Tim

If you book your VS flights using VH and your VH booking reference will not work on the VS web site to view your seats, VS will be able to give you their PNR (flight reference number) for your booking as soon as VH confirm the seats with VS. This PNR is the 6 digit code that appears in the middle of your paper ticket.

All VS need to give you your PNR is your name, flight number and date of travel. I dont think VH see this PNR so they wont be able to give it to you so go straight to VS.

Regards

Having just had a play with the VH booking ref number which is a six digit number followed by /S05 if you knock off the /S05 and enter it in the booking ref on the VS web site it works ! robandgill - you're correct[y]not that I didn't believe you just annoyed at not having worked it out for myself [:(!]

I now have the PNR number as well !

Basically, when we booked gill had just put the phone down after
talking to the nice man at VH. I typed in the booking ref and
it was there immediately! What more can you ask ? :D

Hope you have a great trip

Hi s0436,

If you hold your mouse over the little plane icon (underneath timsdm's member name), you'll see a listing of his future flights.

If you become a full member of the site, you can get the ability to show a short listing of your future flights.

You might also be interested in using the calendar to see who is flying when ;)

I have to admit when I have phoned Crawley direct I have never had a problem, courteous and friendly staff who can't do enough to help. The call centres on the other hand[}:)][}:)][}:)][:(!][:(!][:(!]
We are flying UC end of the month and I am really looking forward to that 'Virgin Touch'.

Can't wait to see your TR on that flight, Dave! I know several of our veteran VFlyers who recently flew UCS and couldn't say enough about the positive experience.

I have to say, I've been dealing with 2 of the FC Au operators this last week, and they were both fantastic. They dealt with all the questions, different itineraries & options I was firing at them, and were just outstanding in every area. Heck, they even made me happy about having to book in Y :D

Cheers

Michael

Mike,
I never thought you were happy booking in Y;)
