V-Flyer

Just a couple of questions regarding this.I have managed to talk the wife into this little adventure next year,we needed to go to London and Fiji so after a little work on expedia it dawned on me that the Great Escape worked out a lot cheaper plus we could also stop of in SYD for a few days so we could go out to the great barrier reef.

Ok so here's the route i've planned out.

Los Angles to London two days in London to say hi to family
London to Sydney via Hong Kong
VS blue it to Carines for a couple of days

Syndey to Nadi for a week

Nadi to Auckland overnight it in Auckland

Auckland to Los Angles

ok now I used travelbag.co.uk for this little plan(thanks for the link Sarah) however it only has a starting point of London.

Anyone know if it's possible to start in LA instead?
I can't find anything on the US VS website,only on the the UK one.

oh yeah...anyone want to figure out how many TP's and miles we will end up getting for this little jaunt,my head is hurting from figuring out the route

Ok...at last I found someone at VS that was willing to do a lot of digging for me...you can start the RTW in the USA,only condition is a 14 day advance booking instead of 7 day in the Uk.

as to miles and TP's..who cares it will be a boat load.

I did this last but starting in London, you get full FC point and TP. Check how many miles you have used and if you have some to spare take another flight, maybe with SQ, the more miles you fly the more miles you earn. Last year to make up miles we took a flight from Singapore to Bali and back just to get the miles and TP. The TP from escapades should be enough to get you silver. We even managed to upgrade into UC with points from LHR and again from HK although it did take some talking in HK.
