LHR planes out of LGW

I have noticed the past few days that VHOT is flying out of LGW presumably to cover for an A/C in maintenance etc. Does that mean that some of the P/E pax will have op-ups to UCS as there will not be enough P/E seats for them? Especially on the MCO route?

Orlando here we come

If PE is booked beyond the number of available seats on the aircraft and there is spare capacity in UC then ground staff will move people up a class with the usual priority for operational upgrades being applied.

Keep your fingers crossed that you get VHOT if you are looking for an opup.

When my wife and I flew to St. Lucia last October we were op-upped from PE to UCS on the way out; that was while the first LGW plane was off being re-fitted, and a LHR plane was used. As far as I could tell, few people were ones op-upped, as the "second" UCS zone was pretty empty. Shame we didn't get the same on the way back.

We are flying out on VS015 on Saturday 3rd September (1 week to go, excited me, nooooo [:p]). Keep praying that we will get either V-HOT or V-AST, both of which seem to have been on the VS015 route recently.....

According to LHR/LGW movements, on the 23rd G-VROY (an LGW 744) flew from LHR to PIK as well...possibly flight deck training as I've seen VS 744's doing landing/take off training up there in the past.

Regards

With less than 48 hrs to the nerves are a little tense, I wasn't worried about an op-up for us as we are already UCS, I an just hoping for some IFE better than ******* NOVA!

Wouldn't it be worth buy a cheap portable DVD player. I have one of these now and hardly bother with any of the IFE.

Just back from ANU booked in upperclass, it was a LHR configeration and flight was fullish so lots of people up graded. The service from the crew was rubbish. It seemed they felt they didnt have to give good service because of so many upgrades!

I will be taking copius notes for a full TR when I get back, hopefully with a few pics as well. You will have to bear with my writing style, it's a few[:0] years since I left school (close to 35!) and my essay skills have not been used since:).

I seem to remember from the dim and distant past that there was a lot of corrections on my English :D Despite getting A Level Lit and Lang!( In the days when it was hard to get a PASS let alone an A!) Trouble is with all this techology the fingers tend to do the walking and the spellcheck all the hard work:D I have discovered I now have dyslexic fingers:D
