CPT is seasonal - it should be running again in October I believe.

Cape Town restarts on the 30th October according to the VS website so maybe you can return on VS?

No the 9" PTV's are on
V:Port planes - none of the A340-300 fleet have V:Port [:(]
A343's either have
Odyssey or
Arcadia IFE.
Arcadia is (slowly) being phased out, so chances of Odyssey should increase over time on the 343 fleet.

The Cape Town direct route operates from the 30th October 2005 through to 23rd March 2006
The following aircrafts are currently planned to operate
30OCT 05 - 30NOV 05 A343-300
01DEC 05 - 31JAN 06 B747-400
01FEB 06 -24MAR 06 A343-300
When the direct route isn't in operation you can use the codeshare flight from Jo'Burg to Cape Town operated by SAA, and then the VS flight to Jo'Burg. All for the same cost as a direct flight, just a little inconvienent to have to change aircraft
