Is there a page/table or whatever on here somewhere that has each of the planes listed, and shows whether they're UCS or V2000 etc, and what the IFE is, and whether they have (and in which class) seat-lattop power.

I'm about to go to Orlando on the V27 and back on the 16, and it would be nice to know what the FULL spec (especially stuff like power/IFE) of the various likely planes are?

I appreciate there is a page that shows the aircraft and IFE, but not the rest as far as I can see.

Thanks.

Well the a/c database also shows whether the a/c is Suite.

The laptop power is the only thing missing and this is I think:

All UCS (V2000 not sure about)
All PE in the 346s - but nowhere else.

In that case; Bu***r. I'm on (as far as I know) a 747 in PE from LGW to MCO (27 out 16 back), and the reports seem to be that Virgin's current performance in having working IFE is very poor at the moment on this route (see recent trip reports).[:(!]

I have a very good widescreen (1920x1200)laptop and it would have been perfect to be able to power for the entire flight to watch DVD's but of course the battery wont last 7-8 hours on its own.[:(]

You could invest in a spare battery and two should last you about this time.

This is one of the killers for VS, IMHO - the inconsistency of product, lots of different types of IFE, laptop power in PE on only some aircraft, inconsistency between PE service on the 747 and Airbus fleets (lack of dedicated flight attendants and lavs on the Airbus).

I'm really amazed that the non v:port ships haven't been retrofitted with laptop power, especially the 340-300s which are just going in for UCS.

Cheers,
Mike

I am pretty sure I used empower on PE on a LHR 744 in the bubble.

empower is only available in PE where V:Port is fitted. That's all but 1 LHR 744 and all the A346's.

Ah,so that means that in theory upstairs on a LGW based 747 I should have an empower socket in the seat???? This would be perfect if true - we're sitting upstairs in PE.

Don't want to carry a spare battery, as we're already carrying a ton of stuff over there for the conference...

no sorry vizbiz

sorry i should have made my first post a bit clearer - I was just refering to LHR 744's and not LGW 744's. The LGW 744's either have Odyssey or Nova IFE's which only offers empower sockets on the UCS seats.
