* Changing hotels which ended up with wedding guests seperated and unable to attend the wedding celebrations
* VH not informing couple of buildings works (hotel was actually closed!and they only found out from a friend) so they postponed for 2 months, were assured everything was fine only to have to move hotels at the last minute
* A couple's peperwork wasn't correct so they wern't legally married
* overbooking of hotel so a honeymoon couple got a naff room
* Everyone interviewed said how bad VH had handled their complaints
Someone at VH needs a right old quick up the ar*e [}:)] Maybe everyone on here who's been complaining about VH should let Watchdog know aswell.

Posted: 28 Sep 2005, 10:16They have always been good to me, even when things went pearshaped, if it wasn't for a plane goin tech on a VH holiday I would never have found out about airmiles and I would never have experienced Upper Class.

Indeed, not too good for VH. But one thing about it amazes me. The
article states that getting married abroad costs, on average, a
third less than doing it at home. One couple is then quoted as
spending £50000 on their VH wedding!
Just how much do people expect to spend on getting married these
days, even at home? The quoted figure sounds totally OTT.
Chris (who got married nearly 20 years ago and spent an awful
lot less than that and still had a good do!)

When we got married last year we spent around $20k,that was for everything inc hotels for the 160 guests.
We went to one a couple of months ago that cost her parents $250k !!!!
and they have 4 daughters[B)]

Me too - Had a very nice room within the Hyatt at Orlando International Airport plus food, and 25% off voucher when the aircraft went "Tech"
