Codeshare arrangement with Air France.

One set of the Heathrow slots is being used for VS's expanded US services, but they must 'use or lose' the other three pairs of slots. To do this they have made a special codeshare arrangement with Air France whereby they will operate those slots to Lyon for a year and they will have the rights to sell 5 out of every 50 seats.

To keep their costs to a minimum they will be advertising this codeshare on their website only.

Flights will be VS9903,VS9905,VS9909 Out and
VS9902,VS9904,VS9908 back.

Wow! That is out of the blue. There have been lots of codeshare / alliance rumours in the past but I can't remember AF being talkied about.

Does this mean a flight to Lyon could get FC points?

would be nice if all european AF flights would earn points... i'd even take AF over EasyJet just for the points :D

I think you would get miles on a VS ticket only.
I also heard it will only code share on the economy class.
