Early Morning flight

I have a 0630 flight coming up soon with TAP from LGW. This leaves me in a bit of a quandry. If it were VS I would of course hit the check in the night before. However TAP don't offer this facility. So there seems to be little benefit in booking a hotel for the night, as I would have to be up at 0230 anyway. Then someone in the office mentioned that some of the LGW hotels do their own version of twilight. This has left me confused as I cannot see how they can offer this service for you unless they take your luggage to the airport early and then you personally check in later. I would have thought this would not be acceptable to the airlines as it would be a security risk.

However it would be great for me if it were true. Does anyone know anything about this?

Not sure where the 0230 comes in to things if you are staying at a Hotel at Gatwick. I'd be surprised if the TAP check-in opens much before 0500, so up at 0430-ish would work for me.

Cheers,
Mike

What he said, the early LHR T2 flights work like this and the desks open at 5AM for the 6AM flights (I have had to catch the Austrian to VIE a few times in order to catch the connecting TLV flight).
