do you think VK are investing in smaller aircraft such as the B737-300 because routes aren't performing as well as expected.

I'm surprised they are getting so many different kinds of aircraft, one would think they would stay with one or two to help the flight crews out. I don't think you can really say the 733 is a lot smaller than the 320 though. Sure there is a difference, but not a huge one.

I don't know why, but I really think VK's livery looks better on this aircraft.

Oh yeah, also, the reg won't stay, you can already see that on the fwd landing gear's door there are the two last letters of the reg, which don't match the one currently on the plane.

I expect they just got a better deal on the -300 and that maybe its not meant to be a long-term investment - just to fill the gaps for the time-being.

according to wikipedia VK'S 733 is Dry leased from GECAS
