I keep reading that people are getting free companion tickets through their credit card. I have the Virgin credit card, what is the criteria/spend to achieve a companion ticket??

GBP15,000 a year. Here's the blurb:
If your retail spend is £15,000 or more a year on your Virgin Credit Card, you'll earn a companion ticket the next time you book a qualifying flight with Virgin Atlantic.

thanks for your quick reply. I must be close to that, I suppose it goes from the anniversary you took the card out?

Have a trawl through or a search of the Cards section of the site. There are lots of threads about the pros and cons of the companion ticket. Also some threads about making sure it is issued when you are entitled to it.
