just wondered if any other board members were invited to play in the golf event at the end of the month.

Got the invite, but I'm not a golfer either - so didn't want to take the space of someone who would really appreciate it (I know some golfers, and they are quite taken with the sport to say the least!)

I think obsessive is more the word than taken;);)
I don't play - I have resisted the temptation to take it, for the very reason that it will take over my life. I still use the excuse that - as I am still playing football (badly) I am too young:D:D

It is a gold thing but not all gold get invites. I suspect that if all gold members were invited, the 19th hole would be impossible to play.

Goldenoldie, I don't actually play golf, for the same reason Nick gives, I'm sure it would take over all my social time, and that's already pretty full!
