LGW-MCO PE seat configuration

We've travelled PE to Orlando many times and have been upgraded a few times - once to the old UC and several times to the downstairs 'B' cabin.

Since the advent of the UC suites, what is the situation with the seats in the 'B' cabin? Have they left the old UC seats there? We've just booked to fly PE in January and are in the process of booking our seats online. We know we want to be in the upstairs cabin on the way out, but on the way home when all we want to do is sleep, we'd probably be better off going for the 'B' cabin if they still have the old UC seats.

If you look at the LGW / MAN 747 seat map. The only UC 'seats' are the suites.

I haven't been on an LGW plane since they were converted, but the concensus on the board is that, upstairs is the best by far.

Thanks, Nick. Totally agree that being upstairs is better - I always compare it with a private function room. What I really want to know is whether they've bothered replacing the old UC seats in the 'B' cabin. Although it isn't such a nice space, the old UC seats would be great for the flight home - far easier to sleep in than the PE seats. I'm pretty sure that when we've been in that cabin previously, it has been a 2-2-2 configuration. It's now showing as 2-4-2 suggesting that the seats have been replaced with the standard PE seats. I'd just like to hear from someone who has actually been allocated those seats post UCS.

The old Zone B has now been fitted with the new PE seats.

I would recommend sitting upstairs in both directions.

If you can't manage UCS eastbound, upstairs PE isn't too bad. You should be able to grab some zzzzzzzzzzzzs up there.

Thanks, Jilly - that's exactly what I wanted to know. Upstairs both ways it is!
