I read that VS claim they look at the points over a 13 month period to ascertain membership status. My scenario is as follow.

Current AU membership year ends Jan 2006. I have passed my 30 TP requirement to stay AU next year.

If I fly in January 2006, any TPs will not count towards my retaining Gold in Jan 2006. However, will they count towards retaining Gold in Jan 2007 given its within the 13 month period from Jan 2007?

Has anyone had personal experience of this?

KenJohn,

You might find this thread (the sticky at the top of the Flying Club forum) useful... ;)

Hi,

If I have earned 35 tier points at the end of my 13 month period, when my Gold status is renewed, are my points reset to 0 or 5?

They go to zero - all points are reset at the start of your membership year, regardless of how many you have.
