Premium Economy to Hong Kong

Me and my brother are flying Premium Economy to Hong Kong (yes!! Will finally be Silver:D) in October.

On the advice of this site I've moved our seats to 20A & C after it said 19 had mostly wall next to it. I like my window seat to be a window seat. Anyone know if 20A & C on the Airbus 600 are good seats? I'm guessing they are. Also if anybody has any interior shots of the PE cabin on that plane that would be cool!

Cheers

Dean,

I recently travelled on this route in PE. Row 20 is a good row, however if you can I would change to row 21 (also a good row for the window) as this is the last row in the PE cabin, meaning if you want to recline your seat you dont have to worry about the pax behind you.

A friend of mine travelled this route a couple of weeks before me and is an airline photographer who uploads to http://www.jetphotos.net below is a link to his pic for the PE cabin http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=248394

Thanks

Cheers for that.

The cabin looks quite different to the 747's and the older airbuses. The review says the last row suffers from Toilet noise, don't know if this is true?

Now see, even though that's PE, it looks cramped and that's why I prefer 2-2 on the upper deck of the 747:

I have travelled in 19A and can honestly say that I was not particularly bothered by the lack of window. As the HKG flights are overnight you will spend most of the time with your blind shut and the lack of window makes it easier to rest your head. You can still see out forward and behind.

I would imagine row 21 would have extra noise due to the toilet being flushed, the door being folded open/closed and locked etc... Not to mention only being narrowly separated from the economy skycot position...[:0]

I know a lot of the outbound flight is overnight and literally all (12 hours - ugh!) is on the return, but I just hyave a thing about having a window right by me.

Doing 2 2 config o an upper deck next month so experiencing both.

Tottally agree with mcuth, you cannot beat PE on the upper deck on a 744, especially with the new PE seat. So much quieter, and the whole service is a lot more personal.

I didn't find the toilet too loud, however I was moved about an hour into the flight due to IFE problems. The crew moved me to the bulkhead in the PE cabin :D, which takes a lot of beating- hence sleeping for 10 hours!!

Thanks
