Hi Trev, and Welcome [y]

One of the best ways is to buy those qualifying flights using a VS credit card, and getting either 1 or 2 miles per £ spent.

You can look out for offers that crop up from time to time (such as 10,000 miles with Virgin Casino) both here and on va.com. There are quite a few more ideas here, too ;)

OK then you do have a number of options open to you.As preiffer stated above the best one for UK resiDents is probaby the VS cc,there are two type's of VS cc,just follow the link preiffer left and you will see.

Another thing is VS Wines.

Try using the search feature of this site's using a phrase like "earning" you'll be amazed what comes up.

Of course getting a membership here won't earn you any mile's,but it will give you an inside track on the latest earning chance's as our litttle group here are total mile whores.

Hertz and Avis rental are usually quite good for adding another 1000 miles (assuming you book the right type of hire).
BAA Worldpoints can be converted into VS miles
Texaco Star points can be collected and transferred into VS miles
Hilton Hotel stays generally accumulate 500/1000 miles dependent on your hhonors membership prefs.
