Just booked UC seats to New York...
Got this message at confirmation..
"We're sorry. The seat map is not available at this time. Your seats will be assigned at check in."

Does this actually mean most of the seats have already been picked, or is it just an error? Do I wait until T - 24hours and OLCI, or should I phone FC before then?

Check the seat ratings page of the forum here for feedback and advice on where best to sit on the 744. My personal preference is 8K butyou can read the reviews and make up your own mind.

I havent flown the Upper Deck but quite a few on here have. There have been varying responses to it, some preferring it for sleep, others stating that it wasnt as good as being downstairs. The seats are slightly different in terms of length and width too IIRC. If you do a search im sure you will find the relevant threads.

I would try Lower Deck outbound Upper Deck inbound, then make up your own mind from there!

That's a great plan.. unfortunately we're coming back on VS10, a 343... so an upstairs seat would be a bit windy...

I think we need more ratings on the seat page..

I'll add my seat ratings from my flight on the 343 if that helps.
