I am off to MCO in a week and return about 10 days later. If you remember a post I made in October I was supposed to cruise from Galveston until a Hurricane made a beeline right for that area. We as part of of comp from the cruise line basically gave us 6 days around the caribbean in Jan, which we are taking. The cruise departs and returns from FLL and the return date is the same day as our flight home. This ultimately means that it would be far easier for me to fly home from MIA rather than make the drive to MCO. If you check the seat maps on this date (28/1/06) you will see the MCO flight is jammed, but the MIA flight has many free seats. I did phone VS last week and ask them if I can move my return flight, but as these are z class they where not interested (even are checking with Revenue).

I actually still think this would benefit both me and VS so should I try again or should I just forget it?

Paul

ps. I have explored flying from FLL to MCO to save the drive and have seen cheap enough fare from AA and Southwest but as a nervous flyer I don't fly unless I need to, plus if I fly to MCO what am going to do for 6 hours whilst I wait for my flight to LGW?

Paul sorry can't advise you on whether the ticket change is worth persuing.

However, if you manage it, I will be at the airport on the 28th picking up my husband arriving on the VS15. Would be more than happy to pick you and yours up for a few hours and drop you off later for your flight home.

It's certainly worth ringing the premier team as you are gold card holder. You will almost certainly have to pay a change fee. However I recently changed a LHR - JNB flight to LHR-CPT for just £50. It really was no problem. They should not be "not interested" - after all you are going to spend money with them!
