I thinkt he title says it all.

From 12th March, Centurion Cards will no longer be accepted for access to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses. May it rest in benefit heaven along with SPG Platinum, Hyatt Diamond and the other pethora of benefits.

I foresee another mass exodus.

Thanks,
Richard

Well it has been rumoured for long enough - for me this makes a big difference to the value of the card. I will have to reconsider whether I continue or drop back to plat.

Makes me feel even better about not renewing in October.

Looks like Centurion has lost a lot of its lustre. And all the promise of titanium cards never seemed to appear either. Amex really took their eye off the ball, methinks.

Apart from the MO benefit, are there ANY reasons to have Centurion rather than Plat, now?

It certainly sucks. Centurion was my way to enjoy CH access on my quest for Gold. I think I really did get my moneys worth out of it. I echo the statement about the travel insurance. Its about all thats left of benefit at Centurion.. I ordered a supplementary card for my mums trip to Oz on the 30th Jan and shes going tomorrow and its not here yet so theres still a lot to do in Brighton...

What does Cent travel insurance have that Plat doesn't?

Higher level of medical cover if I recall, £5m opposed to £2m.

Thanks,
