I found NNick's recent report of travelling in Y on Gulf, and would be interested if anyone has flown Gulf in J? Reason I ask, is that, like a plum, I've just noticed that Gulf is a Flying Club partner, and for my flies to Chennai and Bangalore, this means that I've missed about 30 TPs and countless FC miles in recent months by flying Emirates instead. It's often worth digging around in the VS Web site for useful info.

So, any info gratefully appreciated, am considering switching on my next flight in a few weeks' time.

Thanks

It was 2005 when I flew in business with Gulf. I don't know if they have done anything special recently, but the seats were nothing special at all. Think old VS PE.

In fact, I didn't get to see much of it at all! My route was LHR - Bahrain - Singapore and back, but I only ended up seeing the LHR - bahrain leg due to running late, and ended up on emirates via dubai :-(

On the way back, the flights were overbooked, so they shoved me onto quantas, which wasn' enjoyable at all. However, I managed to get my virgin TP's / Miles, etc, and also managed to get BA to credit me cos I flew Quantas!

So, apart from a tired old seat, the service was fab, as you'd expect!
