Do you have to be a Platinum card holder to book hia this?

Yes you need to be a card member as far as I know. They also do an annual offer with MO with a free night when you pay for three paid nights, with all other FHR benefits also included.

If you were playing Wheel of Fortune; the Las Vegas MO is about as close to the jackpot as you will get.

It's the epitome of luxury and trumps my previous favourite, Four Seasons Las Vegas, on modernity, room size and amenities, in both rooms and suites.

The service is impeccable, the view from the bar is brilliant and Twist has some amazing food.

Other V-Flyers (you know who you are) may prefer the Wynn as they get comped, but not being a gambler, I prefer to go for the 'smaller' hotels.

As you are there over a weekend, then the 4S Verandah brunch (0800 - 1300) is well worth a visit; advance booking essential (702 6325121) and, in my opinion, you cannot get a better steak than in Circus Circus at The Steak House (1600 - 2200); booking recommended (702 7943767), most of the staff have been working there for 30 - 40 years.

Thanks for the tips. I think I may put on a few (more) pounds when we are out there as it looks like a foodie heaven :) Before I looked into Vegas I assumed it would be all burgers and hot dogs- how wrong i was clearly.

I am not a gambler either and have set my heart on the MO now. As the flights are cheap a splash-out on the hotel only seems right :)

A long wait until we go, but at least I got the rewards flights.

Certainly not hot dogs and the burgers are on the more prestigious end too...

Indeed, the cheaper end of the spectrum can be absolutely wonderful and if you've not been to the states before and like meat, Prime Rib is something to be tried. It's actually becoming quite hard to find that on the strip for a reasonable price now since Bills shutdown, but anyone who hasn't been before, I'd heartily recommend walking 10 minutes off strip and visiting:

Ellis Island. Directly behind Ballys. $12.99 Prime Rib and a micro brewed beer. $1 (sometimes $2) microbrewed beer.

If I was in Vegas for a single night, that's where I'd eat...
