It seems like they have done it with everyone again, The the last time this happened the miles were taken back, so I would just hold fire a couple of days before using them as you may end up with a negative balance otherwise.

As mentioned earlier in this thread I had already noticed that I had been awarded double the number of miles on my Jan statement for no apparent reason, as I haven't made any purchases from the "double miles outlets" (Sarah - I think this what happened to you?)....here's a paste from my statement

FLYING CLUB MILES
STANDARD MILES 4,872.38
BONUS MILES 4,872.38
TOTAL MILES 9,744.84

......and here's a paste from my FC account >>

31 Dec 2006 VAA Credit Card Spend 5,794
31 Jan 2007 VAA Credit Card Spend 9,744
31 Jan 2007 VAA Credit Card Spend 5,794

...yep - just as Tauras confirms, we all appear also to have been credited a duplicate of last month's miles. These I'm sure will be removed just as was the case the last time. But what about those showing on my AMEX statement - why have I (and others it seems) been awarded double what we were due? [:?]

Well, it was raining miles until today when they've taken both January's miles and the 'double' December miles back....

Ditto - my double December miles and January miles have now all gone. There must be a case for 'compensation' miles for the hassle?!...

Mine is the same all me January miles are gone, so does anyone know who i contact to get this fixed MBNA and the Virgin FFC dont have a clue whats going on. lol

I think you'll find the correct mileage posted within a couple of days, it was last time this happened.

Duplicated December miles have now gone from my account and the January ones are still there. Just the problem from my original post to sort out now. Sent a mail to MBNA this week, I'll let you know when I get a response.

Everybody should, i presume, have their January miles back now.

We have another thread running on that same subject here. Can we try and keep related comments in a single thread please. This thread was originally for the discrepancy for bonus miles that many of us received.

Well I've got my miles back but still too many, ie. the discrepency for bonus miles still prevails in my case They've again credited 9744 when in fact I was only due 4872 as per my spend on that statement!

Yep got my miles back, although they are down as February not January but that's OK as long as I got them.

I take that back, 9500 miles have just appeared!

Had a call this morning from a guy at 'Virgin Atlantic Credit Card' following my snail mail to them (less than a week to respond [y]). He confirmed they had got the 6x calculation of VH spend wrong and would be crediting my missing miles (~4900) with my February miles.

Just had my Jan/Feb statement through the post today and it reads:

Standard Miles 199.02
Bonus Miles 199.02
Total Miles 398.12

Looks like MBNA can't do simple addition - bit worrying for a bank.
