You know, i am a smoker but i hate smoky places.I am used to not smoking as they banned it here in Scotland earlier in the year.

I wouldnt fly on a plane where there is smoking allowed, i am a strange one arent i?

The only time I've ever been on a smoking flight was when me & my first fiancee (a non-smoker!) went to Turkey. It was on Air2000, we sat right at the back of the smoking section, and even as a confirmed 20-a-day smoker back then, I'd more than had enough by halfway there - it was truly lungbusting! Never again, and certainly not now anyway :D

Cheers

I made the mistake of sitting in the smoking section when I flew to Thailand about 10 years ago.

I was a smoker then and thought it would be a good idea. How wrong was I[V] 13 hours sitting in a smoking section, was hell.

Now that I am a non-smoker :D, I couldn't think of anything worse that sitting on an aircraft full of smokers. [:$]

A few years back when Virgin Trains still had a smoking carridge, not matter how croded the train was it was always possible to get a seat there. Quite frankly it was disgusting ... it was thick with smoke, so much so only the heavy chain smokers seemed to want to stay in there.

I can remember a BWIA flight several years ago,we sat in J row 1 the non smoking section, row 3 of J was smoking. At least it was cheap and they were very generous with the Moet.

559 pax on a 747[:0] I don't know of any "normal" airlines that do this - it's more like 370ish.
