Has anyone stayed at this hotel and what is it like? Also does anyone have any information about the new Hotel Encour being built adjacent to the Wynn, is there much noise and does it disburbe Wynn guests at all. Thank you.

The Encore at the Wynn is being built on a lot to the north of the Wynn, might be worthwhile asking for your room to be in the southern part of the hotel, which should be well away from any disturbances.
There are plenty of pics in the gallery but these are mainly of the public areas.

We stayed at the Wynn last August and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms were great, but also the public areas (casino, bars, restaurants etc..) were immaculate. If you can stretch to one of the suites these are in the South Tower which has its own private entrance, exclusive check-in/lobby with very easy access to the rooms and separate pool area etc..

I have a concept problem with "The south tower" the Wynn is one large curved building so how do they define "The south tower"?
Wood07, this is not a dig at you, but more at Steve Wynn's marketing machine - are Americans so gullible they can be convinced there are towers even though there aern't?

Agreed it is one building with the south side divided from the rest of the hotel (the corridors have doors part way down and the two halves have different decor and finishings). Although not a separate 'stand alone' tower, for me the arrangement worked well having it's own entrance, lobby, pool etc. and was more conveniently located within the hotel. If they did build a fully separate tower this would probably involve a lot more walking to reach the main part of the hotel.

Okay, so it's a logical tower rather than a physical one, bit like partitioning a single hard disk into two or more logical drives, now I understand! Still don't like the idea though

Bazz, methinks you've been around computers to long to come up with the disk partitioning analogy. You're a closet nerd! (Welcome, by the way. Pull up a bean bag and flick on the Star Trek Next Generation DVD. I'll just be over in the corner playing World of Warcraft...)

Sorry to disappoint GJ but the closest thing to hot pants you will find me in is a pair of Ralph Lauren shorts.

I leave the hot pants to the younger more beautiful people, like yourself! [:w]
